We will publish the Winter Issue of Focal Point during the week January 7, 2008. If you have articles you would like to submit for the next issue, please email klital@osa.org or chaptersandsections@osa.org with your items by December 8, 2007.

• Officers providing a group update — share ideas, events planned and insights focusing on the latest activities of your student chapter or local section
• Links to group newsletters — share a link to the group’s latest newsletter
  
• Events — describe events of specific interest to members or sponsored by OSA or other related organizations
  
• Book or Literature Reviews — review books or articles of interest to the optics and photonics community
  
• General Interest — provide information about general topics of interest to the optics and photonics community
  

Submission Specifications

• 12 point type, Times New Roman font, is encouraged
  
• Doubled spaced with wide margins
  
• Submissions via e-mail to chaptersandsection@osa.org are encouraged.
  
• Use Microsoft Word 5.5 or higher
  
• Length of Article — between 150 and 500 word
