News From Student SectionsUSA – Cornell University Student Chapter Event Update
We had our second invited speaker of the year on April 30th. Professor Carlos Stroud from the University of Rochester gave a talk and we had a very successful event. We had 40+ attendees (graduate students, post-docs, and professors) from Physics, Applied Physics, Chemistry, and Electrical Engineering. The reception and the dinner afterwards went well, also. We felt like it was our most successful speaker event we've had so far!

We had our student meeting on April 23rd, during which a graduate student gives a presentation and has a discussion. We provided lunch for those that attended and 20 people attended the meeting.
