FIELD TRIP TO OPTICS LABORATORIES IN PARIS

In the week from 8th to 12th of May a field trip to the most famous optics laboratories in Paris took place, organised by the Università Politecnica delle Marche OSA SC. More than 20 among undergraduate and PhD students, whose interest topics concern optics and photonics, attended the event, together with Prof. F. Simoni, the Chapter Advisor.

The trip gave the opportunity to visit the "Laboratoire Charles Fabry de l'Institut d'Optique", headed by Prof. G. Roosen; the " Laboratoire de Photonique Quantique et Moléculaire " at the "école Normale Supérieure de Cachan", headed by Prof. J. Zyss and finally the "LPCIM" at the "Ecole Polytechnique", headed by Prof. A.De Martino.

The amazing event offered students the opportunity to improve their awareness on the latest topics in the field of Optics and Photonics, and to take up relationships between these important research centres and the Optics Group of the Marche Polytechnic University.

This Chapter Field Trip was the first important event organised by the young Italian Student Chapter. The chapter is now recognized among students and professors of the Università Politecnica delle Marche as a successful and active group.
