OSA's Peking University Student Chapter, Huazhong University Student Chapter Meet in Wuhan

This summer, OSA's Peking University Student Chapter and Huazhong University Student Chapter met in Wuha n for a joint project of investigation in optelectric industry. The Peking University Student Chapter visited Wuhan area companies and spoke with the officers of the Huazhong University Student Chapter.

On July 19 th , the student chapter of Huazhong University invited the visiting Peking Chapter representatives to their campus. This meeting was an uncommon opportunity for the two chapters because of the extraordinary long distance between their two cities, Wuhan and Beijing .

In the meeting room, many student members of OSA in both Chapters discussed the activities of chapters and the recruitment of new student members. It was mutually decided that the two chapters would unite in an effort to boost OSA student membership, which appears inexplicably small compared to the potential membership within China .

The president of Huazhong Chapter, Pengfei Lan, attended in addition to the chapter's other members: Ying Wang, Yuhua Li, and Kejia Wang. The two chapters, Peking University Student Chapter and Huazhong University Student Chapter, are working together and looking forward to our future combined efforts!
